Michael is not allowed to throw tantrums. He knows the results of tantrums ends up with him in the corner. So he's resorted to what I call, "silent protests." Whenever he doesn't like the results of something, he would kneel and rest his head on the floor.
He loves these miniature peanut butter cups I buy at the store. Michael calls them "muffins" because of their shape. After a recent purchase of these "muffins", I gave him one. I told him he could eat one more but then he had to wait until after dinner before he could have another one. After quickly consuming both of them, he gave me a big smile and said, "Muffin pwease!" I told him he had to wait until after dinner. He gives me a bigger smile, holds up one finger and says, "ONE MORE TIME!" I didn't give in to his charm and he laid on the floor in silent protest.
