| With the holidays fast approaching, stores were already displaying
holiday decorations and toys. On one trip to the store, Michael stopped to
play with a large street sweeper. I told him if he saved his money and get
the street sweeper. Afterwards, Michael and my husband were having a little discussion while he was getting ready to go to work: My husband: "I have to get ready to go to work" Michael: "Why do you need to go to work?" My husband: "I have to make money." Michael: "What do you need to make money for?" My husband: "I have to make money so we can pay for things." Michael: "Ok, you go make $20.00 so you can buy the street sweeper at Costco." My husband comes home from work. Michael gets all excited that Daddy's home and runs downstairs to greet him. Michael asks if he bought the street sweeper. My husband told Michael that he just went to work and didn't go to Costco. Michael asks him, "But didn't they give you money?" Age: 4 years old |
