Michael was getting a little demanding about wanting to buy new toys. Most of the time, he has to spend his own money if he wants to buy toys. The word "savings" is barely in his vocabulary.

I attempted to make him better appreciate the things he has by telling him that some children don't have toys. They don't have a nice house to live in. They don't have new clothes to wear. They don't have a nice bed to sleep in at night.

He must have started getting the message because we were sitting on the stairs and out of the blue he started rambling off what some children don't have.

"Some children don't have toys! Some children don't have a nice house. Some children don't have clothes to wear. Some children don't have doors to walk in and out of...."
