I was showing Michael flashcards with different words. He read various words like "DUCK", "DOG", "CAT"....and we get to the word "MICHAEL".
I said, "Michael, what word is this?" He says, "HUMMER!!" I said, "No, Michael, this does not say 'hummer'." I flip the card to go onto the next word. I return to the same flashcard with his name on it and say again, "Michael, what word is this?" He pauses, looks at it and in a low voice says to himself, "It doesn't say Hummer! It doesn't say big yellow Hummer!" Age: 3 years old |
