It's 8:30am. Michael wants a sucker. We have the following discussion:
Michael: "Can I have a sucker?" Me: "No, it's only 8:30 in the morning. You can have a sucker later" Michael: "But I want a sucker, it's my favorite!" (EVERYTHING is his favorite) Me: "Michael, I said you can have a sucker later. Please don't ask for one again" (since it had been his 4th time asking for one) Michael: "Where are the suckers? Are they on top the refrigerator? Are they in the closet? Are they on the counter?" Me: "They are on the counter." Michael: "I want a sucker!" Me: "What did I just say?" Michael: "Can I ask daddy?" Me: "No, you can't ask daddy." Michael: "You say no, everyone is saying no to me!" Me: "Would you like a banana?" Michael: "Why sure!" Age: 4 years old |
